Exercises for Spondylolysis & Spondylolisthesis
Strengthen lumbar multifidus and transversus abdominis muscles surrounding damaged vertebrae, improve your spinal stability with Pelvic Clock® exercise program.
EXERCISES FOR SPONDYLOLYSIS & SPONDYLOLISTHESIS
Spondylolysis is a stress fracture that generally occurs in the lumbar vertebrae L4 and L5. Young athletes are usually the most susceptible to this injury, often due to repeated twisting (rotation) at the torso at high velocities (ie, swinging a baseball bat). However, absolutely anyone can suffer from this injury, and it takes just one bad movement to cause it.
Standard treatment of Spondylolysis is generally limited to pain medication and a few weeks of physical therapy, but The Pelvic Clock® workout tackles every aspect of healing:
Strengthens deep core muscles surrounding damaged vertebrae
Maintains movement in the lumbar spine (lower back)
Corrects any excessive pelvic tilt:
Helps you find your Neutral Spine Position
Prevents or stops painful muscle spasms
How The Pelvic Clock® Helps Spondylolisthesis:
Spondylolisthesis, a slipping of a vertebra, can be of traumatic, congenital, or degenerative nature.
Anterolisthesis is an anterior displacement of the vertebrae, when a vertebrae slips forward onto the vertebra below.
Retrolisthesis is a posterior displacement of the vertebrae, when a vertebrae slips backward.
While non-surgical treatment consists of physical therapy and a lumbar brace, more extreme cases require invasive, risky surgery. A regular spinal stabilization exercise program not only aids in both prevention and recovery, but helps minimize the risk of relapse following recovery as well.
The Pelvic Clock® workout provides everything your body needs:
Corrects any excessive pelvic tilt:
Helps you find your Neutral Spine Position
Maintains healthy movement in the lumbar spine
Strengthens deep core muscles surrounding damaged vertebrae
Prevents or stops painful muscle spasms
